This May, updates have focused on giving line managers more control over their team's learning, improving the accuracy of compliance and CPD data, and tidying up the learner experience. Alongside these, a handful of fixes address bugs that were blocking key workflows for some users.
New Features in Production
Assign learning and book events for your team
Take action on your team's learning faster. Line managers and team leaders can now book events and assign learning directly from Check In and Finder, to one team member, several, or the whole team at once.
From the Check In page, use Book events or Assign learning to select the right content, choose who it's for, add due dates if preferred, and confirm. When booking a single event or assigning a single activity, you'll also see whether a user is already registered, so you can avoid duplicates.
The same actions are available from Finder too, so you can manage your team's learning alongside your own.

Finder faces for org units
You can now create Finder Faces at the org unit level, not just for your whole organisation. This means learners in different locations or divisions can each see a Finder experience tailored to them, without manually stripping content from libraries.
What this means for you:
Tailored discovery by location or division (e.g. Hong Kong vs London, front of house vs back office)
Keep each org unit aligned to its own compliance requirements
A Face can be linked to either an organisation or an org unit. If an org unit has its own Face, learners there see it; if not, they fall back to the org-level Face.

Improvements
A more consistent look for learners
We've updated the colour scheme across several learner-facing pages to better align with the Evo look and feel. Previously, some pages displayed bold purple banner backgrounds that didn't quite fit the overall design palette. These have now been brought into line with the rest of the Evo experience.
No functionality has changed. This is a visual update only.

Video completion logic
Videos and audio activities now track elapsed video time rather than real-time watching duration. This means learners watching at 2x speed are no longer penalised: a 60-second video watched at 2x will correctly record 60 seconds of time spent, including for CPD.
Content is marked as complete once the learner has watched at least half the total video duration. Skipping forward does not count towards this threshold, so the completion cannot be gamed by jumping to the end.
This applies to all supported video types (file, YouTube, Wistia, Vimeo) and audio activities, across both desktop and mobile. Please note that this will not include videos in SCORM packages.

CPD updates: New filter, homepage tidy-up and visual tweaks
We've made a number of improvements to the CPD area, giving learners better visibility of their planned activities and refining the overall experience.
Planned filter in CPD log
Learners can now filter their CPD log by "Planned" alongside the existing All, Incomplete, and Complete filters. If a learner has one or more records in a Planned state for the current period, a Planned pill will also appear in the CPD banner as a quick at-a-glance indicator.
Personal Offline Activities no longer appear in homepage banners or training plan
Personal Offline Activities (POAs) added manually to a learner's CPD log will no longer appear in the homepage belt or training plan. Previously they did appear there, but the completion status couldn't be edited from those areas, leaving learners unsure as to how to amend the status. POAs are now managed exclusively through the CPD log, where everything works as expected.
Visual and usability tweaks
We've also worked through a batch of smaller visual and usability improvements across the CPD area. Nothing that changes how CPD works, but collectively these refine the experience. Updates include spacing and padding adjustments, icon and colour consistency fixes aligned to the design system, improved focus states on input fields, and better file management in the Add CPD modal (uploaded files can now be removed before submission).

Compliance score improvements: Clearer data, consistent calculations
We've made a number of improvements to how compliance scores are calculated and displayed across the platform, bringing everything in line with the same methodology. Whether you're looking at the Admin Homepage, the Check-in page, or the Workspace Compliance Apps, the numbers now mean the same thing everywhere.
Admin Homepage compliance widget
The compliance widget on the Admin Homepage has been updated with a clearer layout and improved data. An info icon now sits alongside the widget, opening a modal that explains how the score is calculated and what the exclusion rules mean. The modal text updates dynamically depending on whether your compliance is configured by Certificate Expiry Date or Activity Due Date.
Super Admins can now filter the compliance score by organisation using the filter icon. The selection is retained for the duration of the session and resets on next login.
For customers on LMS² (Standard or Extended Enterprise), a refresh button is available to trigger an on-demand recalculation of compliance data. Clicking refresh updates the score across the platform for all admins and team leaders. If a refresh times out, a message will display asking you to try again or use the data shown.
Check-in page compliance widget
The same improvements have been applied to the compliance widget on the Check-in page, including the info modal and refresh button (for LMS² customers). Individual user cards on the Check-in page also reflect the updated calculation logic.
Renamed metrics
Two KPI cards within the Compliance ambition on the Admin Homepage have been renamed to better reflect their purpose:
"Compliance at Risk" is now "Team to Support"
"Compliance Focus" is now "Course in Focus"
The "Updated daily" pill on the Compliance Completion Rate card (Engagement ambition) now shows the actual last updated date in the format dd / mmm / yy.

Feature Perfect Fixes
Library filter error for Line Managers in Check-In
Line managers can now successfully use the Library filter when adding activities to team members via Check-In. Previously, selecting a Library when using the Add Activity workflow would return an error, preventing training from being assigned through this route.

Hidden tags now correctly excluded from registration rule audiences
Hidden person categories were still appearing as selectable options when building audience filters for registration rule templates. They're now filtered out at the API level, so only visible categories show up where you'd expect.

CPD app entries not syncing to Learner records
CPD entries added via the CPD App now sync correctly to users' records. Previously, entries would appear as pending in the app but never transfer across to the site, leaving learners' CPD logs incomplete despite their activity being recorded locally.
