Updated this week

This month brings enhanced personalisation and improved user experience to Access LMS Hub and Access LMS2. Key highlights include a redesigned CPD interface with streak functionality, new Belt visibility controls for targeted learning campaigns, and several user experience improvements across admin theming and system messaging.

New Features

Automatic Image Selection

The Global Settings 'Automatic Image Selection' card controls whether the system selects images for your content automatically. When enabled, images will be added to content based on their title and description. If you prefer to use your own image, you can disable this and upload a default image that will appear on all pieces of content. If you do not upload a default image, content will appear with our standard placeholder images.

Available for: Access LMS Hub and Access LMS2

Release date: 20th November 2025

Visibility Tab Added to Belts

Admins will now be able to restrict Belts to specific audiences and deliver a more personalised experience for learners. A Belt can be restricted to specific Teams, Person Categories & Individual users and a combination of all 3 can be used.

Super Admins will also have the ability to restrict 'All org' belts but only to Teams and Person Category Groups that span across the site.

This feature will unlock exciting strategic use cases by enabling Admins to create targeted campaigns for specific groups such as onboarding for new hires, upskilling for specific cohorts, belts for specific company locations.

Please note: The Admin is responsible for ensuring that their chosen audience has permission to access the content added to the belt otherwise some learners may not see the full contents of the belt.

CPD Experience Transformation

The CPD page has been completely redesigned to improve navigation and streamline the layout. The new purple banner displays comprehensive status information at a glance, including progress, incomplete items, deadlines and category targets. Visual progress bars replace the traditional donut chart, and intelligent content sections guide learners through what needs their attention first.

We've also introduced a new weekly CPD streak feature to help learners build consistent professional development habits.

All familiar CPD functionality remains available. Learners can still add CPD activities, view their CPD log, filter by type and category, and export records. The new interface simply makes these features easier to find and nicer to use. All existing CPD data transfers seamlessly to the new interface.

Please note: This release focuses on core CPD functionality. Customers using the following features will not be included in this initial rollout and will follow in subsequent releases:

  • Count Pathways

  • Value Scheme

  • CPD Adjustments

  • CPD Syncing

  • End Date Based Periods

  • Last 12 Months filters

  • CPD Grouping

  • Submissions

Improvements

Access Digital Assistant

We've moved the Digital Assistant to the right side of your screen to reduce visual clutter. The chat will now remain hidden during content playback to ensure an uninterrupted learning experience with clear access to navigation controls.

Available for: Access LMS Hub and Access LMS2 (Admins only)

Release date: 5th November 2025

Improved Applause Integration Messaging

You'll notice the messaging around Applause on the Check In page is looking much friendlier and clearer. We've tidied up all the tooltips and button states to make it crystal clear when learners can receive recognition and what's needed to enable the feature.

What's improved:

  • Clearer learner status messaging – Tooltips on individual compliance cards now use friendlier, learner-focused language

  • Better product context – When Applause isn't provisioned, disabled buttons now clearly explain what Applause is and what's needed to enable it

  • More relevant guidance – When Applause is active but team members haven't completed training, tooltips provide contextually appropriate next steps

Admin Theming

Admin users on LMS2 sites will now be able to select their own personal theme preference for their homepage, without affecting the choice of other users. Previously, only Superadmins could access the appearance settings but we have now opened this up to standard Admin users as well. Only the 'Tailor the Admin experience" area will be available to them. Other configurations such as the button theming and company branding will remain controlled by the Super Admin. This small change recognises the importance of all Admin users and their need to personalise their workspace to improve their daily experience.
