In June Access LMS Evo comes with powerful updates to boost admin efficiency and elevate the learner experience. Admins can now apply belts across all organisations in one action, customise Spotlight buttons, and organise content with second-level sub-categories. Learners benefit from inspiring empty states, restored Qualifications, timely CPD reflections and clearer layouts in Portrait. Additional improvements include enhanced usability in Finder Editor and smarter image handling for learning content.
New Features
All Organisation Belts
Super Admins can now apply as many belts as they want to all organisations in a single action. This works in the same way as Spotlights for All Organisations and will make it easier to manage belts at scale. All organisations belts will display to the learners after the belts specific to their organisation.

Inspiring Empty States
We’ve introduced a series of new empty states across the platform to ensure learners always feel supported and inspired even when there’s nothing immediately on their to-do list. The empty states for Portrait now include an inspiring message and a clear call to action, for example, new learners will see “YOUR LEARNING JOURNEY AWAITS” along with a prompt to start exploring via the Browse Finder button in their Learning. Additionally, new empty states have been added for Certificates, Events in Finder and Check-In page.

Second-level sub-categories in Finder Editor

A second-level sub-category can be created by clicking on the '+' icon of the sub-category. An extra filter has been added to the Finder experience and is displayed once a sub-category has been selected, allowing users to filter on the second-level sub-category.

Sections for Learning pages in the Portrait Area
We have improved the layout of the Person X's learning, Achievement and For Later pages in the learner's portrait area by arranging the content on these pages into distinct sections. We have also added further filtering options making it easier and quicker to find what you need. On your personal learning page, the content will be displayed in the following sections: Overdue, Due Soon and Not yet due. On both the Achievements and For Later pages, content is grouped into: Last 7 days, Last month, and Previous Months. These sections will only appear if there is content that matches their criteria. When a filter is applied, these sections will not be displayed.

Improvements
Improved Reflective Statement Experience for CPD Activities
We’ve enhanced the reflective statement experience for CPD activities by allowing learners to add a reflective statement immediately after completion. A full-screen stepper appears after the confetti screen and before Ratings (if enabled), adapting to CPD-required fields. Learners can reflect or skip, with a dynamic final button: “Save and Continue” if Ratings follow, or “Finish and Save” if not. This supports timely, meaningful reflections and a smoother CPD experience.

Flexible Image Handling for Your Content
To help your content look its best and offer more control over what is selected, a new checkbox "Automatically pick and replace the default image” is now available and selected by default. Each night, a relevant image is auto-generated based on the activity’s title and description, applying to both new and existing content. Uploading your own image always overrides the auto-generated one, and you can disable the feature anytime by unchecking the box in module settings.

Finder Editor enhancements
To improve the usability of Finder Editor, we have added some text to explain what the dropdown icon is for and also an information icon. Once clicked, this will open up a knowledge base article about Finder editor to better help you understand the feature. We have also given the dropdown selection icon a fresher design, making it easier to view the information when expanded.

Finder Editor external category re-direct icon enhancement
Recently we added a new icon to Finder editor which displays on categories created outside of Finder editor. Previously, when clicked this would redirect the user to the Manage page in Find Learning. Now when clicked, the user will be taken to the same page but filtered to the category that they wish to edit, saving time and improving the user experience. Anyone who has upgraded to Access LMS Evo will now see an info panel when attempting to create a new library category from the Manage page in Finder, informing that category and sub-category creation is now managed in Finder editor.
