Updated over a month ago

This month has marked a significant milestone in our platform evolution. On the 31st October, we completed the final customer upgrades to our new UI experience, meaning all Access LMS customers are now enjoying the enhanced interface and improved functionality we've been working towards.

Whilst we've been focused on supporting these critical upgrades, we haven't slowed down on product development. This release includes our exciting new Spotlights visibility feature alongside essential improvements and fixes to keep your LMS running smoothly.

With all customers now on the new UI, we're positioned to accelerate our feature development pipeline in the coming months.

New Features

Events Category View in Finder

We've enhanced how events can be displayed in Finder, giving admins the same powerful organisation capabilities you already love for your Library content.

Previously, events in Finder only displayed in a calendar view. Whilst this works well for date-based browsing, we heard from many of you that you wanted to organise events by topic, department, or type - just like you do with your content.

Admins can now create event categories and subcategories in Finder Editor, then choose how learners see events, either in the traditional calendar view or the new category view. You control which view best suits your learners' needs.

Available for: Access LMS Hub and Access LMS2
Release date: 28th October 2025

Spotlights Visibility

We have brought the visibility tab to Spotlights which will enable Admins to restrict these to specific audiences and deliver a more personalised experience for learners. Admins will be able to restrict Spotlights to specific Teams, Person Categories & Individual users and can use any combination of all.

Super Admins will also have the ability to restrict 'all org' Spotlights but only to Teams and Person Category Groups that span across the site.

This feature will unlock exciting strategic use cases by enabling Admins to create targeted campaigns for specific groups such as onboarding for new hires, upskilling for specific cohorts, spotlights for specific company locations.

This same functionality will be released for Belts too, in the next couple of weeks.

Available for: Access LMS Hub and Access LMS2
Release date: 30th October 2025

Improved Visual Consistency
