There are a variety of reasons that can cause training to remain in Incomplete status for a user.

Follow the relevant steps below for guidance on troubleshooting steps to take if content hasn't moved into Completed status as expected.

📌 Note: Documents and offline activities registered to users training don't automatically mark as complete after viewing them, this has to be done manually.

Troubleshoot module or video file

When a module or video file is completed but the status remains Incomplete, review the following information to assist with resolution.

  • Missing steps. There may be hidden information to click on.

  • Minimum 80% of any video has been viewed without skipping.

  • Module is exited by clicking Close, not by closing the browser window.

Troubleshoot course

  1. From the learner homepage, click your initials on the navigation bar.

  2. Click Portrait, then click My Learning.

  3. Search for and select the relevant course.

All modules shown in the What's in this course section of the page need to show a green tick to be registered as complete.

Complete any modules without a green tick on the course. This can include the below content.

  • All elements in an eLearning module.

  • Required pass mark for an assessment is met.

  • Mark any Note modules as complete manually.

Blocked module in a course

If a module is marked as blocked, it means there are other modules you need to complete first. Once you complete those required modules, the blocked module will become available automatically.

If you've already completed the previous activities but modules are still blocked, there may be a sequencing rule applied to the content. In this case, an administrator or content creator can review and update the sequencing rules as needed.
