Administrators can create certificates for users who complete training. Users then view or download them for their records. This helps track completion of specific modules or courses.

To do this, follow the relevant steps below.

Enable certificate

  1. Click Content, then click All content.

  2. Search for the relevant content, then click Common Tasks.

  3. Click the Certificate tab, then toggle on Award certificate on completion.

  4. Click Save.

Set certificate expiry date

There are three available certificate expiry date options, detailed in the below table.

Status

Notes

Does not expire

Certificate has no set expiry date

Valid for

Set expiry date by years and/or months.

Valid until

Set a specific date the certificate will be valid until.

To set a certificate expiry date, follow the below instructions.

  1. Click Content, then click All content.

  2. Search for the relevant content, then click Common Tasks.

  3. Click Certificate tab, then select drop-down menu under Certificate Expiry.

  4. Select relevant option, then click Save.

Certificate style

Select between Graphical or Letter certificate style depending on your preference.

Graphical certificates are populated with the user name, module name and assessment score (if applicable), so you don't need to add these fields to the certificate message.

Customise certificate

Add a custom certificate message using message fields to populate key information. Fields are grouped into sections: Module, Profile, and Form or Event.

📌 Note: Form and Event fields will only be available if the corresponding training is either Form or Event module.

To add message fields to your certificate message, follow the below steps.

  1. Click Content, then click All content.

  2. Search for the relevant content, then click Common Tasks.

  3. Click Certificate tab.

  4. Click Show Message Fields.

  5. Select relevant fields to add to the certificate.

  6. Repeat steps 5 and 6 as required.

  7. Click Save.

Add image or logo to certificate

Administrators and content creators can add an image to a certificate for a specific module or course by editing the certificate message in the respective content.

🤓 Tip: Super Administrators in LMS² sites can set an image on the certificate template which will appear on all certificates on Access LMS Evo. Certificate templates are part of the site theme accessed in site settings.

To do this, follow the below steps.

  1. Click Content, then click All Content.

  2. Click Find or Manage, then search for and select the relevant content.

  3. Click the Certificates tab.

  4. Position your mouse cursor in the Certificate Message box.

  5. Click Insert/edit image icon on the toolbar, then click Upload.

  6. Click Browse for an image to find a saved image.

  7. Click OK, then click Save.

Certificate scores

Certificate scores are calculated taking into account all the score-based activities present in that course. If there are multiple assessments in a course, all the scores will be added and an average calculated. This results in the final certificate score that you can view in My Profile under Certificates.

If you notice that yourself or another user has a low certificate score for a course, check all the content in the course to see which are score-based.

To find out which activities are set as score based for a course, please follow these steps.

  1. Click Content, then click All Content.

  2. Click Manage, then search for the course and click the title.

  3. Click Modules, then click Edit next to all modules.

  4. Review which of them have the Score ticked in the Rollup Settings section. Any that do will be used to calculate the overall certificate score of the course.
