Create a course from content manager

Guidance on creating a new course from within the content manager area.

Administrators and content creators can create a course via a variety of methods. Choosing the right way can save you time and help you build a more effective learning experience. Creating a course allows you to organise content, structure learning activities, and guide learners through a clear path. For example, if you're launching a new employee on-boarding program, building a dedicated course lets you centralise videos, assessments, and resources in one place.

To do this, watch this video or follow the relevant steps below.

Create a course

  1. Switch to admin view.

  2. Click Content, then select All Content.

  3. Click the Create tab, then click Course.

  4. Enter a name for the course, then click Create Course.

  5. Click Modules, then search for and select the relevant module.

  6. Repeat step 4 as needed to add further modules to the course.

  7. Click Add Diagnostic Tools to add a diagnostic and/or course assessment if needed.

  8. Click Details, then add a code, description, and objectives.

  9. Click Save Changes.


Create a course from basket

  1. Switch to admin view.

  2. Click Content, then select All Content.

  3. Click the Find or Manage tab.

  4. Search for relevant content, then click Add to Basket.

  5. To add multiple content, repeat step 4 as needed.

  6. Click the Basket tab, then click Save Course.

  7. Enter a name, then click Save Course.
