The Spotlight feature highlights and promotes learning content directly on the user’s homepage.
Spotlights appear along the top of the learner homepage, drawing attention to training and important content. You can have up to five active Spotlights at a time. When enabled, users can cycle through the various Spotlights.
Depending on the Access LMS Evo solution, Spotlights are created and managed by the following types of user.
LMS Hub sites: Spotlights are created and managed by administrators.
LMS² sites: Spotlights are created and managed by super administrators.
To create a Spotlight watch the video or follow the below steps.
Click Engagement, then click Homepage Designer.
Expand Applies to and select the relevant organisation.
Click Add Spotlight, then enter a headline and description.
If required, click Add button and link in a call to action, for example content you want to promote.
Click Image to add an image.
If required, click Visibility and select the Teams or Users who can see the Spotlight.
Click Confirm.
Toggle on Spotlight on for users.
Click Save.
📌 Note: The Visibility tab lets you control who can see a Spotlight. All-org Spotlights can be restricted to Teams and Person Categories, while org-specific Spotlights can also be restricted to individual learners.
For all-org Spotlights, Super Admins will only be able to select Teams and Personal Categories that span across the entire organisation, rather than org-specific ones.
Manage spotlights for multiple organisations
⚠️ Important: The below guidance is only applicable to super administrators on LMS² sites.
Super administrators on LMS² sites with multiple organisations are able to create spotlights specific to individual organisations. Users will only see the spotlights for their organisation.
Super administrators can also create up to five all organisation spotlights, that users in every organisation will be able to see. These appear separately on the user home page from the organisation specific spotlights, effectively allowing up to 10 spotlights in total.
📌 Note: Only super administrators with the all organisations reporting scope can do this. Super administrators with a reduced reporting scope can only manage their own organisation's spotlights.
To manage all organisation spotlights, follow the below steps.
Switch to admin view.
Click Engagement, then select Homepage Designer.
Search for and select the relevant organisation. Select All Organisations to add spotlights for all organisations.
