Check In

Guidance on using Check In to gain insight into your team's training progress.

Line managers with direct reports and team leaders with assigned teams can quickly see how their teams are performing and take action where needed in Check In. This helps them monitor learning progress, compliance status, and engagement.

Open Check In

To access Check In, follow the below steps.

  1. Go to the learner homepage.

  2. Click Check In on the navigation bar.

While in Check In, you can:

  • Monitor users progression via the Team Dashboard.

  • Assign learning or book events (also available from Finder).

  • Manage users' learning and action changes via My Team Activity.

  • Approve user registrations to courses via Approvals.

  • Access the reporting suite via Reports.

Check In Overview page

This section provides quick insights into your team through several tiles (detailed in the sections below), showing progress toward various targets.

The information displayed is specific to the selected team. To view another team’s results, click Your Team, then select the relevant team.

Your team at a glance

You can assign learning or book events for users directly from this section.

Your team’s compliance

This section shows an overview of your selected team’s compliance, based on either certificate expiry or due dates, depending on how your organisation has configured mandatory training. Refer to the relevant guidance for details on how compliance logic works in Check In.

📌 Note: If mandatory training hasn't been set up by your organisation, this section will not be visible.

This section also includes:

  • The number of learners in your team.

  • Overall compliance status.

  • A colour‑coded compliance dial based on the average compliance of all learners.

  • Summary cards highlighting overdue and upcoming learning tasks for individual learners.

📌 Note: You will not see a summary card for yourself.

This section provides an overview of your team’s CPD hours completed each month. Select View to access the Team Dashboard for a detailed breakdown.

📌 Note: If CPD hasn't been set up by your organisation, this section will not be visible.

This month’s milestones

This section shows your team’s engagement trends by comparing this month’s activity with the previous month.

Where they shine brightest

This section highlights the three types of content (e.g., videos, courses) your team has interacted with most this month.

Learning, their way

This section displays the three learning categories your team has engaged with the most this month.

How your team is learning and growing

View your team’s learning habits for the current month, including:

  • Total time spent learning per individual.

  • The top category they’ve engaged with.

  • Their preferred learning styles.

🤓 Tip: You can type the first three letters of a learner’s name to narrow your search.
