What's new
The 27 August 2026 release includes a fully redesigned How to be an Effective COFA course, developed in partnership with the Institute of Legal Finance and Management (ILFM), with updated regulatory guidance, practical compliance content, and a rebuilt assessment bank. The Cyber Security for Law Firms course has also been updated to reflect changes to UK data protection legislation, AI-enabled cyber threats, and current regulatory requirements.
What's next
Our next release is scheduled for 24 September 2026. It will include updates to the newly renamed How to be an Effective COLP course and a significant refresh of ESG for Law Firms content, created in partnership with SA Law. Updates to AI for Law Firms have been postponed until October 2026.

Crime and Policing Act 2026
Further updates are being introduced across relevant policies and guidance following the Crime and Policing Act 2026, including new provisions extending corporate criminal liability for offences committed by senior managers acting within their authority.
Changes Coming to Policies and Precedents for Law Firms
We will continue enhancing the Policies & Precedents library over the coming months, including further format improvements, customisation guidance, and legislative updates. No action is required at this stage, and we will continue to keep customers informed as these changes are rolled out.
