Assign learners to learning in Learning Hub

Assign a specific learner to a specific piece of content to require them to complete it. You assign from within the product the content has been distributed to.

Once you've distributed content in Learning Hub, it's available in the relevant product, but that alone doesn't mean your learners will see it or be required to complete it. Assigning is the step that puts a specific piece of content in front of a specific learner and makes it a requirement. Once assigned, the learner is expected to complete it, and their progress is tracked accordingly. Where you go to assign depends on which product the content has been distributed to, so it's worth knowing your setup before you start.

MCM customers

If you've distributed content to MCM, you assign learners from within MCM rather than from Learning Hub. MCM gives you the tools to manage assignments as part of a broader compliance programme, including scheduling, deadline management, and escalation. If you'd prefer to assign a particular piece of content from Learning Hub instead, you have the option to distribute that same content to Learning Lite and assign it from there. This can be useful if you want to keep certain assignments centralised in Learning Hub without involving MCM for that specific piece of content.

Learning Lite customers

If your content has been distributed for use in Learning Lite, you assign learners directly from Learning Hub using the Manage Learning page. Locate the relevant course in Manage Learning, and use the assign buttons to select the learners you want to add. Once assigned, the content becomes a requirement for those learners and their progress can be tracked from the same page in Learning Hub.

Access LMS Evo customers

Content distributed for use in Access LMS Evo is assigned within Access LMS Evo itself, not from Learning Hub. This is by design: keeping assignment inside Access LMS Evo means it stays consistent with your existing learner management setup there, including any workflows, rules, or reporting structures you already have in place. Learning Hub's involvement ends once the content has been distributed to Access LMS Evo.
