When you buy content through Learning Hub, it doesn't automatically appear in the other Access products your organisation uses. Distributing is the step that sends a piece of content from Learning Hub into a specific product, making it available there for learners or administrators to work with. Until you distribute it, the content exists in Learning Hub but can't be used anywhere else. Most organisations that use Learning Hub alongside another Access product will need to distribute every piece of content they buy. You distribute from the Manage Learning page in Learning Hub, where each course has its own set of distribution options.

Use this option when your organisation uses MCM and you want the content to be available there. Distributing to MCM sends the content to your MCM training manager, giving your MCM admins visibility of it within their environment. From that point, everything to do with that content, including how it's structured within a compliance programme, who it's assigned to, and how completions are tracked and reported, is managed from within MCM. Learning Hub's role ends at the point of distribution.

Finder is the browsable content area within Access LMS Evo and Learning Lite, where learners can discover and access content themselves. Distributing to Finder publishes the content there, making it searchable and available to browse without anyone needing to manually assign it to individual learners. This approach is commonly used for professional development content, where the goal is to make resources available for learners to choose from rather than requiring specific people to complete specific items. That said, there's no reason compliance content can't be published to Finder too, if self-directed access suits your organisation's approach.

Use this option when you're planning to deliver content in a structured group setting, such as a workshop, an in-person session, or a live online event. Distributing to Classroom activates the classroom functionality for that piece of content in Learning Hub, making it possible to run the content as a formal session. Once distributed, you can open it in a classroom setting, manage attendance, and record who was present. This option is suited to any scenario where a facilitator is leading the delivery and a record of attendance needs to be kept.
