Reflective statements capture learning outcomes after completing a module or course. When applied to a course, the prompt appears once upon course completion and applies to all included modules. To record specific reflective statements for individual modules, access the CPD log and edit each module using the pencil icon.

Super administrators on LMS² sites can configure reflective statements for CPD schemes on the site.

To configure reflective statements for a CPD scheme, follow the below steps.

  1. Switch to admin view.

  2. Click Settings then click Global Settings.

  3. Click the CPD tile, then select the relevant CPD scheme.

  4. Click the Field Options tab.

  5. Click the Reflective Statement drop-down menu to choose how reflective statements will be treated.

    • Mandatory When Completed - Users must complete a reflective statement as part of a CPD entry.

    • Non Mandatory - Users are not required to complete a reflective statement as part of a CPD entry.

    • No Reflective Statement - Users will have no option to add a reflective statement to their CPD entry.

  6. If setting the reflective statement to be Mandatory When Completed, use the Minimum Reflective Statement Length field to set a minimum character length for the statement.

  7. Click Save.
