Add a Reflection

Reflections form a key component of the CPD record. They demonstrate learning outcomes and their relevance to professional development. Missing reflections may result in training not counting toward CPD requirements, potentially impacting overall progress and compliance status.

Reflections can be viewed and added to content with outstanding requirements directly from the CPD dashboard.

Follow the steps below to complete a reflection.

  1. From the CPD dashboard, scroll to the My Reflections belt.

  2. Select relevant activity with an outstanding reflection.

  3. Hover over the activity tile and select Add Reflection.

  4. Add the reflection in the Reflective Statement text box.

  5. Click Add.

🤓 Tip: Use the structured prompts and examples to help complete the reflection.

Manage CPD records

The CPD Log provides a central location to view, organise, and manage all CPD entries. It streamlines record keeping through filters, bulk actions, and export options.

Specific CPD entries can be located, grouped by type or date, and exported as a complete record when needed.

Follow the steps below to access the CPD Log.

  1. From the CPD Dashboard, click More Actions.

  2. Click View CPD log.

  3. Use the year drop-down menu to change the CPD data range.

  4. Apply filters to search for specific CPD entries.

Add a CPD entry

Adding CPD entries maintains an accurate record of professional development. Each entry contributes to overall CPD progress and ensures learning receives proper recognition for compliance and reporting.

Follow the steps below to add a new CPD entry from the CPD Dashboard.

  1. From the CPD Dashboard, click Add.

  2. Enter a Name, Date and Time Spent on the activity.

    • There's also the option to select Activity Type and upload any related documents.

  3. Scroll down and add a reflective statement.

    • There's also the option to add Development Needs and Learning Outcomes statements.

  4. Click Save.

Remove a CPD entry

CPD entries added by mistake or no longer need it in a record, can be removed directly from the CPD Dashboard, helping to keep the CPD log accurate and up to date.

⚠️Important: Permanently removing a CPD entry will permanently delete the record. If the entry included a reflection or supporting documents, these will also be removed.

  1. From the CPD Dashboard, click More Actions.

  2. Locate the relevant CPD entry, then click the trash icon next to the entry.

  3. Read the information in the pop-up box. If required, select Also permanently delete the items

  4. Click Remove.

Submit completed CPD

Once required CPD hours are complete and mandatory fields filled, submit the CPD record directly from the dashboard.

📌Note: All reflections must be complete and CPD targets met before submission. The Submit button only appears when all requirements are met.

  1. From the CPD Dashboard, check progress bar to confirm 100% completion.

  2. Click Submit CPD.

  3. A confirmation message will appear and the CPD record will be marked as Submitted.

Further Actions

These are further actions you can take within the CPD Dashboard to help manage, organise, and track your CPD records more effectively.
