Super administrators on Access LMS² sites can enable Compact view for all Administrators on the site, and select up to seven daily essentials. These appear as tiles in the Manage tab and link directly to key areas of functionality.
When Compact view is enabled, all administrators on the site become Supervisors. Their access is limited to the functionality and areas that are defined in the Daily Essentials area. All other functionality not included in Daily Essentials isn't accessible. This is useful when administrators are only required to carry out specific tasks, such as viewing reports or managing organisation structure.
⚠️ Important: Once switched on, Compact View is permanent and cannot be turned off.
To set up Compact View, first enable the Compact View setup page, then customise the Daily Essentials that Administrators will access via the Manage tab. Watch the video or follow the steps below to complete both parts of the setup.
Switch to admin view.
Click Settings, then click Global Settings.
Click the Compact View card.
Toggle on Turn on compact view.
Click Save, then click Take me there.
Click Add daily essential.
Enter a title and description.
Click Link Button to, then select relevant area of the site.
This gives the user direct access to that part of the platform.
Click Confirm.
Apply any needed customisation options, then click Save.
Toggle on Enable Compact View.
Read the information in the pop-up box, then click Confirm.
Administrators will take on Supervisor permissions, losing access to the admin homepage and gaining the Manage tab instead. You can return to the Compact View setup page at any time via the Tools tab in Admin view to adjust the Daily Essentials.
📌 Note: Compact View may not appear immediately. Changes to the user interface and functionality depends on the number of administrators in the organisation.
Customisation options for daily essentials

Click the three dot menu to make changes or delete a tile.
Click Save to apply any changes made.
Manage tab in Compact View
The Manage tab is only available to Supervisors in Access LMS² sites with Compact View enabled on the site.
Super administrators on the site can configure the area, adding up to eight Daily Essential items, which appear as tiles within the Manage tab. These tiles give direct access to the specific assigned functionality.
🤓 Tip: The Manage tab in Compact View is separate functionality from manage content, which is used to manage your learning content within Content Manager.
Access is only to the features linked to the tiles visible in the Manage tab. For example, Reporting or User management.
To access the Manage tab and view your Daily Essentials, follow the steps below.
📌 Note: The tiles available to depend on how your Super Administrators has configured this area. If you need access to additional functionality, contact your Super Administrator.
From the learner homepage, click the Manage tab.
Use the arrows to scroll through assigned Daily Essentials.
Click Take me there on a tile to access linked functionality.
To exit, click your initials on the navigation bar, then select Switch to Learner.
