Title and Course ID |
What's Changed? |
Fire Awareness in Construction
Course code TBD | The course covers the fire triangle in construction, hot work as the primary risk (welding creates 3,000°C temperatures with sparks travelling 10+ metres), modern construction materials and fire behaviour (engineered timber fails in 12-15 minutes), HSE case study analysis, and construction site evacuation challenges including limited escape routes, equipment shutdown, multi-contractor coordination, and legal access requirements. Interactive content includes hotspot hazard identification, HSE incident audio, and knowledge checks with realistic construction scenarios. |
Fire Wardens in Construction
Course code TBD | The course covers construction fire hazards including hot work (sparks can ignite materials 10 metres away), temporary electrical systems, material storage creating rapid fire spread, and multi-contractor coordination. Fire wardens learn their site responsibilities supporting the Principal Contractor's fire safety management under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, including weekly inspections, ensuring hot work permit systems are followed, and liaising with Fire and Rescue Services. Interactive content includes hotspot hazard identification, hot work permit process blocks, evacuation challenges with changing site conditions, and knowledge checks testing fire warden responsibilities. |
📌Note: For LMS and Partners/ContentServe, minor updates are automatic, and for Safety Media, once you have completed it, the next launch will show the updated version.
Do I need to do anything with updated content?
LMS | The currently active course has been updated to include the new modules and removed the older ones. To see the changes, you will need to reset users either manually or via registration rules. |
SafetyMedia | If you are already on the older course, once you have completed it, the next launch will show the updated version. |
Partners/ContentServe | If you are already on the older course, once you have completed it and are reset, you will see the newest version. |
