What’s changed in our catalogue?
Here is an overview of the changes across the catalogue.
Title and Course ID |
What's Changed? |
Compressed Air Safety (Code TBA) | The course addresses the full spectrum of hazards—eye injuries, air embolism (the leading cause of deaths), hearing damage, and internal organ damage from pressures as low as 0.25 bar. Learners work through HSE incident analysis, mobile equipment safety for construction sites, and UK regulations including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, PSSR 2000, HSE Guidance HSG39, and PUWER 1998. Interactive content includes carousel modules with statistics, hotspot interactions, real HSE case study audio, and clear "NEVER/ALWAYS" safety rules. |
Fire Wardens in Care (Code TBA)
| The course covers care-specific fire hazards including oxygen therapy equipment (creating oxygen-enriched environments where fires burn hotter), mobility and medical equipment creating electrical hazards, and vulnerable resident fire risks from age and medical conditions. Learners explore Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) with Grab Bags, progressive horizontal evacuation to fire-resistant compartments on the same floor, and CQC compliance including statutory notifications. Interactive content includes real care home fire analysis, PEEP management, equipment shutdown priorities, and night shift scenarios with reduced staffing. |
Manual Handling including Tyres (Code TBA)
| The course covers LITE assessment (Load, Individual, Task, Environment) as the framework for evaluating manual handling operations, safe tyre handling techniques including checking for steel wire and sharp edges before touching any tyre, using palm-flat grip on tread surface to keep fingers clear of crush points, and testing grip on mounted tyres with uneven weight distribution. Learners explore equipment to reduce risks including tyre-wheel trolleys, tyre changers with integrated lifts, team lifting requirements for heavy commercial tyres with clear communication, and rolling techniques for large tyres. Interactive content includes carousel slides, accordion equipment options, flip cards for tyre industry PPE (cut-resistant gloves, steel toe-capped boots with metatarsal protection, knee pads), and safety notes on tyre inflation. |
📌Note: For LMS and Partners/ContentServe, minor updates are automatic, and for Safety Media, once you have completed it, the next launch will show the updated version.
