Course description

Every year in Great Britain, compressed air causes 150 dangerous occurrences—about 6 result in fatal or serious injury. Just 1 bar of pressure can blow an eye out of its socket, causing instant, permanent blindness. These aren't complex accidents. They're preventable incidents that happen because workers don't realise just how dangerous compressed air can be, even during routine cleaning tasks. Our Compressed Air Safety course delivers practical knowledge for working safely with compressed air across construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance operations.

The course addresses the full spectrum of hazards—eye injuries, air embolism (the leading cause of deaths), hearing damage, and internal organ damage from pressures as low as 0.25 bar. Learners work through HSE incident analysis, mobile equipment safety for construction sites, and UK regulations including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, PSSR 2000, HSE Guidance HSG39, and PUWER 1998. Interactive content includes carousel modules with statistics, hotspot interactions, real HSE case study audio, and clear "NEVER/ALWAYS" safety rules.
