Set the feedback level for a diagnostic assessment

Guidance on how to select the amount of feedback given to users post-assessment.

When creating a diagnostic assessment for a course, there's an option to set the amount of feedback a user receives after they have finished taking the assessment.

To set the feedback level for a diagnostic assessment, follow the below steps.

  1. Search for and select the relevant assessment.

  2. Click Amount of feedback given post-assessment.

  3. Set the relevant level.

  4. Click Save after setting the other options for the diagnostic assessment.


Feedback levels

The below table explains how much each level of feedback shows to user's.

Topics Questions and Correct Answer

  • Topics tab.

    • Related module names to questions asked (with description).

    • Score for topic.

    • Learning need if a user didn't score pass mark.

    • Launch module.

  • Question tab.

    • Questions asked and whether answered correctly or incorrectly.

    • Click Feedback to show the selected answer and the correct answer, the question feedback and links to related learning.

Topics and Questions

  • Topics tab.

    • Related module names to questions asked (with description).

    • Score for topic.

    • Learning need if a user didn't score pass mark.

There is no Question tab.

Only available when using the reactive assessment user interface.

There is no feedback page. User is returned to the learner homepage after finishing the assessment.
