Registration rules automatically register users who meet the criteria of the rule on to a module. For example, users who sit in a specific department with a particular role or based on when they started employment.
An alternative to creating a rule for one time use, templates can speed up the process of creating reminders as you can apply them to multiple modules.
⚠️ Important: Forms operate in a different manner to activities and can't be reset. You need to either restart the form in a user's profile in the Performance/Forms tab or create a new form from the template then registering your users to the new form.
To create a new registration rule template, watch the video or follow the steps below.
Switch to admin view.
Select Tools on the left side menu, then click Template Hub.
Click the Rule Templates tab, then click Create New Rule Template.
Enter a name for the template.To add an image click Upload Image.
Apply filters to the rule template, then click Next.
Choose relevant option of when to register users.
Select Set due date.
Select Set certificate expiry, if using Certificates.
Click Create Template, then click Confirm.
Apply a registration rule template to a module
After creating the registration rule template, apply it to a module.
To do this, watch the video or follow the steps below.
Switch to admin view, then click Content.
Click All Content, then click Find.
Search for and select the relevant content, then click Common Tasks.
Click Add rule, then click Select a rule template.
Search for and select the rule template, then click Next.
Apply relevant filters to determine the audience to be included.
Click Next, then click Apply Rule.
Click Confirm.
