Data Protection for Law Firms (Course)
Course updated to reflect full commencement of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA). Legislation section rewritten to describe the current three-instrument UK data protection framework (UK GDPR, DPA 2018, DUAA 2025). Seventh lawful basis (recognised legitimate interests) added. Legitimate interests, PECR, automated decision-making, privacy notices, DSARs, and breach notification sections all updated to reflect DUAA changes in force from 5 February 2026. New section added on the mandatory data protection complaints procedure, in force 19 June 2026. Essential documents list updated accordingly. Seven new assessment questions added.

Data Protection for International Law Firms (Course)
Course updated to reflect full commencement of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA). All updates applied to Data Protection for Law Firms (June 2026) have been applied to the shared activities in this course. International data transfers activity updated to reflect DUAA 2025 changes to the transfer risk assessment framework, now referred to in statute as a data protection test, with a revised adequacy threshold in force from 5 February 2026. Adequacy decisions section updated to reflect current UK-EU adequacy status. Transfer mechanisms guidance updated to clarify the correct mechanisms for UK firms. Ten new assessment questions added, including three specific to international transfers content.
