Course Description

This course equips learners with comprehensive knowledge of the Banking Conduct of Business Sourcebook (BCOBs) and the Payment Services Regulations (PSRs) as they apply to building societies. Through interactive case studies and practical modules, learners will examine regulatory requirements across the customer lifecycle—from initial engagement through to ongoing post-sale obligations and consumer protection responsibilities.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • recall the regulatory scope and key requirements of BCOBS and PSRs

  • determine appropriate BCOBS and PSR compliance measures when engaging with prospective and new customers

  • implement post-sale BCOBS and PSR requirements for existing building society customers

  • evaluate consumer protection standards under BCOBS and PSRs and apply them to post-sale customer scenarios.
