Course maintenance

Our subject matter experts have reviewed the following courses, and have determined they remain compliant and require no amends:

  • Moving & Handling People.

  • Person-centred Care.

  • Dignity & Respect.

Medication in Community Care and Medication Administration Awareness

Our subject matter expert reviewed the training and suggested several improvements. We specified that the training focuses on pressurised Metered Dose Inhalers (pMDI) and revised the step-by-step instructions for how to use them. We also clarified the guidance on transdermal patches, methods of administering medicines directly into the body, ear and nasal administration, the Six Rs, and safe disposal of medicines.

The course update helps you:

  • Use pressurised Metered Dose Inhalers (pMDI).

  • Apply transdermal patches correctly.

  • Understand how medicines are administered directly into the body.

  • Administer ear solutions and nasal sprays and drops.

  • Perform the Six Rs.

  • Dispose of medicines safely and securely.

Safeguarding Children

We updated minor changes and typos. For example, we removed lists of completed objectives as they didn’t aid the learning process.

The course update helps improve readability and content accuracy.

Communication

The subject matter expert suggested only one minor change to spell out the acronym SOLER. We've actioned this.
