Access Legal Diversity Tool 2025
We're pleased to announce that our Legal Diversity tool has been updated with the latest 2025 question set and is now available.
What is the Legal Diversity Survey
In July 2011, the Legal Services Board (LSB) issued guidance to regulators on diversity data collection across the legal workforce and the promotion of the transparency of this data at entity level. As a result, all firms regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) are required to collect and report their diversity data every two years.
How can we help
To assist you in meeting this requirement, we developed a user-friendly and secure survey tool. This tool generates a unique questionnaire link that can be easily shared with staff. All responses are submitted anonymously and securely to the platform, where an admin user can track participation in real time. When ready, your admin can download an aggregated report summarising responses to each question, perfect for assisting with SRA submissions.
What's new in this update
To align with the 2025 SRA requirements, we’ve updated the questionnaire to reflect the latest set of diversity questions. These updates are also incorporated into the downloadable report, ensuring consistency and compliance.
How to use the Access Legal Diversity Tool
We've created this comprehensive guide which includes everything you need to answer key questions and streamline your experience, including:
Step by step guidance on how to register - including a direct link to the Access Legal Diversity Tool for easy access
How to pay for your surveys

Refresher Courses: Exciting opportunity to work with our Learning Designers
Access is seeking to engage with you to explore new Legal training products! Upcoming “Refresher” style courses will reduce time-burden and repetition involved with annual revisits of compliance topics, while also identifying any necessary areas for competency improvement.
To make these as successful as possible for your staff (and convenient for your training managers to deploy!), we’d love to collaborate in some focus testing. This would comprise of a couple hours over a 3-week period:
Short questionnaire by email (~5 minutes, week 1)
Test of the course, screenshared with an observer (1 hour, week 2)
Group feedback and discussion call (1 hour, week 3)
These sessions begin in July, scheduled around your availability. Please register your interest via this form.
Promoting diversity in the legal profession: Upcoming bi-annual diversity survey
A diverse legal profession more accurately mirrors society and guarantees that the justice system operates fairly and inclusively. Given the diversity of clients, it is crucial that this variety is also represented among legal professionals. By encouraging talent from different backgrounds to enter the legal sector, we can help break down historical barriers that have hindered underrepresented groups.
As summer approaches, the next bi-annual diversity survey is on the horizon. Jack Brown, Risk and Compliance Associate, provides useful insights on the upcoming Diversity Survey data collection. Read now >
