Events Manager overview

An introduction to Events Manager, covering the dashboard, All Events page, and Manage Locations, plus what's coming next.

Written by Liam Smith

The new Events Manager brings everything you need into a single dashboard, replacing the previous four-tab experience. It's rolling out incrementally, as each area of the new interface is completed, it will progressively replace the old one.

⚠️ Important: The new Events Manager is currently in Beta and only available to customers on the Early Adopter Programme. If you're not on the Early Adopter Programme, you'll continue to use the existing Events Manager experience.

Events Manager dashboard

The Events Manager dashboard is your new central hub for managing events. It replaces the previous four-tab layout, giving you a single place to access your events, locations, and actions.

You can access the Events Manager the same way as before.

  1. Switch to admin view.

  2. Click Content, then select All Content.

  3. Click Events.

Once there, you'll see the new single-screen dashboard instead of the previous tabs.

📌 Note: While the new Events Manager rolls out incrementally, links through to individual event details will take you to the current UI. Each area will move into the new interface as it becomes available.

All Events page

The All Events page replaces the old Event List tab.

To access it, click View All on the Events Manager dashboard.

On the All Events page, you can:

  • Filter your events by status, with live counts for each.

  • Search across event name, location, and instructor.

  • Sort by any column.

  • Page through large sets of events more easily.

🤓 Tip: As part of this update, Event Programmes have been renamed Event Series. This is a name change only and your existing programmes, settings, and functionality remain exactly as they were. The equivalent page for Event Series is on its way as part of the same incremental rollout.

Manage Locations

Managing event locations has moved into the new Events Manager.

To access it, click More Actions on the Events Manager dashboard.

Everything works as before. You can add, edit, and delete venues, and control whether event creation is restricted to approved locations only. It's the same functionality in a cleaner, more consistent home.

Upcoming updates

The following areas are still in development and will be released progressively as part of the same rollout:

  • All Event Series page: The equivalent of the All Events page, for Event Series

  • Hybrid events: A new event type supporting mixed in-person and virtual attendees.

  • Multi-session events: A single event containing multiple sessions across different days.

  • Redesigned four-step event creation wizard: Streamlining the process of creating events.
