⚠️ Important: The below guidance is applicable only to Access LMS² sites. Access LMS Hub sites can create video activities by linking to a video hosted on Youtube, Wistia or Vimeo.
Administrators and Content creators can upload videos as a standalone activity, which can be used like other modules or can be published or used in courses.
📌 Note: Videos and audio activities track elapsed video time, ensuring learners watching at faster speeds still receive full credit for time spent, including CPD. This doesn't include videos in SCORM packages.
To do this, follow the below steps.
Switch to admin view.
Click Content, then select All Content.
Click Manage, then select the Create tab.
Click the Video/Audio tile.
Select File, then click Next.
Click Choose File, then browse for the video you would like to upload as an activity.
A list of supported file extensions displays. You can learn more about accepted video/audio formats in our Supported audio and video file formats guide.
Once found, click Save.
🤓 Tip: The video module name defaults to New Video, but can be changed when customising the video.
Customise a video module
You can further customise the video module via the Details tab in the administration area. From the Details tab, you can apply customisation such as the following:
Rename the video activity.
Add a description and objectives.
Apply an image to the activity.
Change the video file being used.
Manually amend the size of the video preview window.
To apply your changes, click Save at the bottom of the screen.
